Yo! How about giving wolfmen a little uptune since they now seem to be totally
buttwhipped by tinmen/catfolk etc. Here's my idea:
Wolfmen could gain a new "rage" ability. This would mean that the more stuff a
wolfman kills, the more intensive his rage comes, thus granting him +stats or
perhaps even +dam +physress etc. Unlike lich bonuses though, these would only
last for a short time and reset in boot. On the other hand rage bonuses could
stack up faster. There should be a cap for +stats of course.
In addition there could also be a rage related skill in wolfmen raceguild.
Training of this skill could work the same way as psi komd, except that you
would only need to kill stuff to gain training points of that skill. And the
skill would of course boost the effects of rage.
I'd say that an hour or two of hc-exping in good party could boost the +stat
bonus to max. Though they would start to decrease of course after, say 30
minutes of idle time or time when no monster is killed. Oh, and the exp-value
of monsters killed would of course affect to how fast rage bonuses are gained.
