I want to be able to extract materials/reagents/stuff from pouches and boxes
in chests. Reason being for example chesting a feather weighted pouch full of
reagents, and in a few days noticing that you can't lift the bloody thing even
with a shitload of str bonuses 'cause the fw's faded, and pouch weighs about a
ton. And yes, I know I'm stupid, wizzes are not here to clean up my messes,
and I'm a selfish bastard. But I can't see the damage in doing this tune, so
why not do it. Ok, I'm done, flame away.
This is not a stupid idea. However, having seen the code for some of the items
and having written it for the rest, I can tell you that the "get X from Y in
Z" syntax would be very troubling and probably cause more problems than it
solves.
part of the problem is that the boxes, cans, jars and pouches do not store the
items as items, but rather as data. (That's why the weight is less) Another
reason is that two items that do not "touch" are harder to work with. For
example, using the "zap" syntax with a wand that's in a bag doesn't work.
I will look into the syntax, but please bear in mind, these "specialty" items
are built differently than simple bags and boxes, and the command "extract X
from Y in Z" will most likely not be added unless I can manage it without
breaking anything.
