Ive been asking around for a few weeks to find out if sabre/civfighter would
be a _remotely_ viable, if not at least interesting combo, and i havent really
been able to find anybody who has reinced full civfighter in the past 2 years
to answer a few questions, other then a few tells from >15d ppl who said that
'civfighter sucked, so i suicided, it wrecked my game experience'. With the
relatively new importance if stunning players(both barbs/tigers as well as
psi) it would be interesting to see dirty fighting skill as a useable
offskill(rather then the 70% skillmax it has in civfighter). Or, scrap the
guild entirely and some nice wiz recode the old Dog Fighter Mercenary guild.
That deaths parry skills pretty cool for the player that likes to take risks,
and would go well with risk-taking sabres trying to stay in till there last
fencing skill hits. Also make the off/def skills alcohol based(Mastery of
Alcohol Tolerance), i think it would be an interesting time trying to keep
your char drunk all the time,much like recasting channelers aura, or barbs
burning, etc, all the fun stuff that makes the newer, more popular guilds
interesting(magical breathalizer guild item? :)

ex. "(Party): sorry guys, regen for a minute, can some1 dimdoor? need to goto
civilization quick for beer run"

As well, with boozing all the time being expensive money-wise, would fit in
well with the theme of other moneymaking civilized guilds, or even open it up
to civ/nomad. Booze+mudding go well together as ive noiticed from this crowd,
and IMHO could be an interesting lil alternative to the waste of a couple BC
rooms CF is now, and theres a ton of cool stuff that could be
implemented(drinking related alone, as well as the whole mercenary aspect of
the guild). Well, im drunk anyways, ignore my ramblings
