You can now see the list of contestants for the Battle Royale west from the
lottery office. You can also bet on the winner there. Bets save over reboot,
you can bet as often as you like, and you can even bet against yourself.

At this time, there are 12 contestants. Assuming nobody else shows up, that
means four players will get a bye into round 2, but I'd prefer 4 more to sign
up so that it's an even multiple of two. That said, here are the prizes:

-- All entrants: a gem of lossless pray (works once when you die while
carrying it, vlw of course)
-- Anyone with one or more wins: elixir of instant heal-to-full potion
(bypasses influx)
-- Anyone with two or more wins: 10 task points
-- First Place: Rank of Victor and first pick of the Big Prizes
-- Second Place: The remaining Big Prizes
-- Third Place: a bag of 500 training points (chestable)
-- The person who wins the most money betting on the fights: ring of
luck regeneration

The Big Prizes are:
-- The Trophy of Victory. This pcity item will give the owner +2 to
either all his skills, or all his spells, each day (you chose which each
day). The Trophy cannot be stolen.
-- The Tome of Victory, which acts in most ways like a skillbook. However,
you get to use it once each reinc, it works on spells too, and you get
to choose which skill/spell it affects when you read it.

The Big Prizes will all be named, and will not work for anyone except their
winner (no trading). Big Prizes are yours for one year, at which time
they will pass to the next winners (assuming we do the event again).
