The Lords of Chaos - Tzarakk Slaves of the beastmasterTzarakk is a reputation based mounted guild for the evil religious background. Before you can join Tzarakk, you must first complete the Disciples sub guild.
Tzarakk is a tank guild, the spells add flavour and work well at lower %'s, but it's mainly about hitting things with pointy sticks.
I have tried this guild with a Hobbit and a Minotaur, both hold up in a fight (Hobbit took less damage, but had less hp). Most of the spells work well enough at 50-70% that large races shouldn't worry too much about low sp/spellmaxes. The main issue with small races was getting weapons that could be wielded, and were worth using. The hobbit could auto-wield a ruby spear 1h when mounted and spawned. With large races, you can get to nomad level of hp's after spawning (over 1k).
Disciples 10 Level GuildJoining DisciplesTo join disciples, go to the temple of chaos (just SSE of rilly) and join with the Jorgos in the first room. Be careful, the rest of the temple has some hidden dangers.
Disciples work very much in the same way as Squires, there are a bunch of things that you get to a moderate level, and once you have completed the guild you can advance to one of the main guilds. The most important thing to train in disciples is chaotic spawn.
Chaotic Spawn / Choreography of Mutilation / Clawed StrikeAll Lords of Chaos receive the ability and mastery of chaotic spawn. This skill transforms you into a horrific spawn of chaos with a bunch of tentacles, and a chaotic bite. The mastery of this skill is choreography of mutilation.
Important things to learn about spawn form:
- Chaotic spawn has a reputation system, you gain reputation by killing whilst in spawn form.
- More spawn reputation eventually leads to more tentacles, you also get additional points towards the chaotic spawn and choreography of mutilation.
- You can check your current rep counters by performing pray to tzarakk whilst in spawn form. The message gives you level of chaos inside you that resets each time you gain a skill point, and a skin bulge that resets after you receive an additional tentacle.
Chaos Messages: You feel devoid of chaos. You feel a slight tingling of chaos inside you. You feel chaos pulsing deep inside you. You feel chaos pulsing inside your veins. You feel chaos energizing your body. You feel chaos pouring out of you. You feel your veins throbbing with pure chaos! in that order.
Skin Messages (partial list): Your skin is smooth., Your feel a tingling in your torso. You feel a burning bump in your side. There's a bulging mass in your side. There's a seeting mass in your side. A glowing, bulging mass is burning in your side. Your side is about to burst by the seething mass lodged there!
- Type slots whilst in spawn form to see how many tentacles you have. Each tentacle will cause damage of the type that the slot information indicates (not all of each attack is 'type' based, some of it is physical . Each new tentacle is a different damage type.
- Along with your tentacles you will receive a boost to STR, CON, DEX and SIZ. These boosts will increase with more rep.
- When in spawn form your torso slot is used by the tentacles, so no torso armour can be worn.
- When in spawn form you will regen hp quicker.
- When in spawn form you will not regenerate in light.
- When in spawn form, you are technically another race, so spending xp or joining guilds is prohibited.
- The exp that you receive for each kill will be at a lower exp rate.
- <ignore this - unless it gets tuned AGAIN, you cannot de-spawn in combat>You can de-spawn in combat, this means you will remove all eq and weapons mid fight.
- The chaotic bite does acid type damage.
You can use the Clawed Strike skill while in spawn form, using this will cause all of your unarmed limbs to flail wildly at your opponent. This skill becomes more powerful with more reputation (dues to the extra limbs etc).
Tzarakk 20 Level guild"It's all about the ride baby!"
Tzarakk is a mounted guild. They get some skills to use when not mounted, but the main point of the guild is to grow your chaotic steed.
Joining TzarakkTzarakk can be joined at the statue in the ne corner of the Temple of Chaos, be careful where you walk. You must be max (level 10) disciples to join.
Training TzarakkThe skills and spells in the Tzarakk guild can be trained at the Tzarakk shrine in Lucentium. This is located in the jungle southwest of Lorenchia. In the area, you'll find an altar to train at, and in the sw corner a statue that depicts the current guild leader.
Gaining levels in TzarakkTzarakk being a blood thirsty little blighter, wants you to prove yourself before you are allow to advance. So, after joining, each level must be attained by sacrificing a corpse to Tzarakk at the Tzarakk shrine in lucentium. The procedure is as follows:
- Kill something (you can't take a corpse from someone else)
- Go to the training room
- Get Tzarakk's attention by praying to Tzarakk
- Drop the corpse, and sacrifice it.
- Try to Advance
Higher levels require more exp worth of corpse to advance, you can use multiple corpses to get the required amount, or if you can do it, one big corpse can get you multiple advances. Advancing to level 2 only requires a seagull corpse, where as level 20 requires something a bit bigger (15-30k ish?).
Skills and SpellsI'm not going to talk about the generic skills here, just to say you get Polearms as the weapons skill, Impale/Mangle to use when not mounted, Trample and Charge to use if you want mount only or weapon only mounted offensive skills.
You should try train all riding related (combat riding etc) skills to the maximum.
At the time of writing this, it is my understanding that Kiss Of Death has no other use than the small regen after the kill for Tzarakk (no reputation bonus).
Tzarakk Only SkillsSee disciples for information on Chaotic Spawn / Choreography of Mutilation / Clawed Strike.
Raise MountThis skill will cause a corpse to rise from the dead and become a diabolical steed. Warning for big races: The size of the corpse affects the size of the steed -- so no, you won't be riding your undead happy go-lucky kender into battle with tiamat. And they are not worth killing so don't bother.
Harvest SoulThis skill lets you use the soul of a mob that YOU have killed and use it to restore your mount's health. If the soul is used in this way, it is not counted for rep.
DismountThis skill helps you dismount other mounted combatants. So go find that black cavalier.
RampageThis is your number one offensive power, you force your mount to rampage toward the foe, the mount hits the foe, and if you're good enough you get to smack it with each of your wielded weapons. It is rumoured that high charge and trample skills will make rampage do more damage.
Tzarakk Only SpellsSummon Dire BoarBefore you can summon your boar, you must name it using the
tzarakk baptize command. Once it has been named you can summon it and the fun will begin.
After the boar has been summoned, you get access to the 'boar' command, this will give specific instructions to your boar. One thing to point out, boars are very good at following people... Boars dissapear after a few minutes, and cannot be summoned again for 2 hours.
Summon beastsThis is one of the offensive spells that you can use if you happen to be fighting in the outdoors. This spell summons a range of rabid woodland creatures to assist you. They dissapear after a few rounds.
Fury of natureThis is one of the offensive spells that you can use if you happen to be fighting in the outdoors. This spell will have all the nature/plants/trees around you chaotically spawn at your opponent in an attempt to destroy them.
Defile AnimalThis spell sends the target outworld animal into a frenzied rage, where it will attack anyone - including you - good for messing with rangers and their pathfinding routes.
Glance of PredatorWith this spell you get to "look" through your mounts eyes, can be useful in locating the mount, but then you would have to walk back to get it, if you know where the room is. So it probably has more use as a spying tool.
Eyes of NatureThis spell is a little like clairvoyance (you see which if mobs are near you), but has a greater range and displays differently.
Steed of Tzarakk/Banish MountThese spells summon and banish your mount. Summoning costs max_sp/2 and 6 rounds when your steed is NOT around, and 60sp and 3 rounds when it is. Steeds can be summoned to your side across long distances, even cross continent.
The SteedBefore you can summon your mount, you must name it with the
tzarakk name command.
After it has been named, cast the Steed of Tzarakk spell to summon your mount.
You can banish the mount with the banish mount spell, banished/killed mounts are subject to a timer before a re-summon can be performed.
Reputation
To start off with you receive a anorexic donkey, by feeding the souls of mobs that YOU have killed to the mount, the mount will get stronger and change race.
If you didn't get exp for the corpse, you cannot suck the soul from it.
By feeding your steed souls, the steed will get stronger, have more hp, and possibly become resistant to certain types of damage.
To suck the soul from a corpse, use the
tzarakk chaosfeed corpse command. Use it a second time and the mount will consume the corpse, which feeds the mount. Remember there is only one 'soul' per corpse, so you cannot harvest soul and chaosfeed the same soul.
The level of reputation is indicated by the adjective and race of the mount, i.e. a solid unicorn is more powerful than a weak donkey. The reputation level is also subdivided to counters that can be viewed when looking at the mount. These are the glow of the Mane and the body. The mane counter is connected to the adjective of the mount, and the body is connected to the race. The mane/body counter will reset multiple times before the adjective/race of the mount changes. Each time the mane/body counter resets, a skill point is earned in the related skills. Note: the mane and body counters affect different skills. The 'glow' levels progress as follows: innoticeable, dim, ambient, bright, radiant, eye-blinding, pulsating.
The following skills are affected by mount reputation (note: some of these may be affected due to the mount reputation affecting mastery of mounted combat/combat riding):
Attack | Combat riding | Dismount | Dodge | Harvest soul | Mastery of mounted combat | Parry | Polearms | Rampage | Riposte | Shield bash | Throw weight
If you are not mounted, you do not get these bonuses.
Riding also lets you wield bigger weapons one handed. For Example, a hobbit automatically wields a ruby spear in two hands when not mounted. When mounted, the spear is automatically wielded in one hand.
Mount Gear
Chaotic steeds do not use Saddles, Bridles/Tethers, nor Barding. However, a chaotic steed may use saddlebags. The saddlebags need to be manufactured or refitted to the race of the mount. If the mount changes race, the saddlebags must be refitted for that race. If the mount is wearing saddlebags at the time of a race change, the saddlebags will drop to the floor. I recommend using a light material for your saddlebags, also price might be an issue if the mount changes race a lot. My saddlebags are made of flesh (Nun flesh if i remember correctly).
Here is an incomplete list of the know mount races and adjectives (some combinations are impossible - Feeble Wyvern for example).
