With the introduction of another riding guild that can cast, and the ability of
mounted nomads to blast, would it possible to ease up a little on the
requirements for Knight training?
I think that to maintain the integrity of the rank, Valor, Conduct, and
Education coul remain the same. (Although Take Prisoner is a really difficult
skill for the reward - rep).
I think that the skill progression should be eased a little, I played multiple
hours last boot trying to gain rep in valor and skill, Valor only went up (as
it should) when I managed to take a prisoner/score a valiant kill. My power
slash (95) and Precise Slash (90) reps went up at a reasonable rate and after a
few hours, they were complete. But then I got to skullsplitter and the repgain
slowed way down. This is because (i think) that the skill is most effective
when the target can't defend. Which, unfortunatly, is rarely because even if I
manage a stun with precise slash, the mob always manages to break the stun and
defend against the skullsplitter. I did have a tarm with me to get BoTs from.
Oh, and I could have used the skills against tiny mobs so it would work more,
but that's against the knight code and I would loose rep in valor.
For those who don't know, knight skill rep is: spam 3 skills successfully 100
or so times to be able to train skills in that group. Rep is reset each boot.
Suggestion: Make the skullsplitter progression a little easier, the skill is
hard to pull off against bigger (not even that big 30-50k?+), and then have a
special requirement at the end (perhaps a successful comb of the knight skills
against a mob).
