i spend quite some time doing beastmaster quests today, and heard that they
don't save over reinc. seeing that some of them are a rather big pain in the
ass i would like to ask why they reset?

You can now lock your completed Beastmaster Quests over reinc by going on a
massive multi-continent taming spree. The exact details are up to you to
figure out.

Of course, if you complete another quest, you'll have to lock them in again.
