An idea: give us a ship's log that we can purchase from Silver Lake and add to
our captain's cabin. The log could automatically log ships we've sunk (NPC and
player) and ships that have sunk us. It could also log major ports "Arrived at
Daerwon on <date>." and perhaps some other things. Maybe have it customizable,
what you want it to log.

A simpler idea could be to just have it work as the notped, allowing the
captain to jot down important ship related need-to-remember type of things. A
combination of the two (autolog/notepad) would be the nicest.
