How about making these spots non field spots. Seems that some ?azrix doesnt
understand that making shelters at these locations blocks other people.

Rather than changing the game, because of one person being a total asshat.
Just level zap them a few times. Probably won't happen again. There was a
lot less whining and random stupidity like this when hard justice was dealt
out. Just my 2 cents.

Like when you pkilled newbies then got 1x pkill and threatened in the name of
an archwizard that "Shinarae is going to ban you." then next line was "I am
going to dest all your eq." ? Then you whined to wizard after claiming you'd
dest people and trying (and failing) to take your revenge? You've started
several pkill issues in BatMUD and the administrators (level 600 wizards )
are aware of it...

As far as the shelter, it was because my friend, AMD needed to quickly banish
our spider demons and shelter gives +hp/sp to help generate to do it faster.
Also, I had no idea it blocks anything. In the "old days" (you aren't even an
old character by the way, so you don't know) you'd get few level zaps for
"demanding" shit like this, because in "old days" wizards would tell you to
piss off or go pkill the player who casts shelter.

Clearly when you are little arch-whiner/suck-up like yourself from year 2004,
you don't realize what "old days" were like. So please shut up and go back to
retirement.

Ever wonder why I have so many blogs about you? It's because I log every
session and just copy/paste so people can see the lies you tell for
themselves. As for this killing several newbies, it was one person in the
last 8 months, Melinda, which he/she apologized for after they got sent to
hell. Just because you suck some archwiz's dick and get to act like a spoiled
infant here getting away with what you like doesn't mean everyone else is just
like you. I did not "start several pkill issues". My first pkill war was with
Jacen over him idling at a Cavalierm then demanding I pay him for loot. That
worked about as well for him as it did for you when you tried it. Continue to
spread your lies and misinformation if you like, but my friends know my

WANT AN EXAMPLE OF NAZRIX LYING TO YOUR FACE? In 8+ years of playing batmud
and being a mage for 2 years+ straight without reincing he doesn't know what
shelter is used for?!!! Check the help file and this is the VERY FIRST
sentence!! "No monsters or players may enter the area while the spell is in
effect." So, if you believe nazrix then he is simply the dumbest fucking
mage in the game. Or he is a liar. You decide.

Who the fuck knows what a shelter does at Vlad? I thought archway is INSIDE
the room, shelter covers the outer perimeter of room, not entering from within
the room. Shrug. I have been a mage for 4 years straight, and been retired
for almost 4 years straight, before Continents even fucking existed.

Actually, I feel obliged to support this statement. I completely agree that
in recent years it seems that there is more and more whines and complains
about than ever before. Now, there have ALWAYS been whines, and there will
inevitably continue to be whines forever, but I would have to say that there
is a DEFINATE lack of fear of retribtion, and the respect (so to speak) that
rides along side that fear, of both admins and upper level players (elders so
to speak). I don't really mean anything by this reply, just sort of chiming
in with my own obeservation.
I remember people treating this game and those that reside here with much more
reservation. It does all seem very whiney now-a-days.

Yeah, but in the past, PLAYERS were allowed to deal with whiners....and
PLAYERS were allowed to deal with the people who made them whine. I don't
mind a game where Lammas can kill me a few times for my MISTAKE, that's the
way mud should be. But here now, if he kills me two times, I've been told by
some...'powerful" wizards that I should just contact them, for about every
pkill, and not try to handle it myself. I'm sure Lammas and others are told
the same.

For now, all complaints (he took my gaward cloak/he put shelter around my
monster/he stole my kill) seem to be safer to tell a wizard than take some
actiong and get a 30 day ban because you summon the wrong person to a Free
Portal in Orion.

The old game where wizards only got involved after 25x pkills, was pretty
cool, and players behaved for the most part. Now you make 1 error and wait
for 30d ban. And if someone wrongs you, you wait for them to get a 30d ban or
simply a wizard doesn't care and you get no justice, but are told "don't make
trouble over that."

We could really use a Unified Code of Mortal Justice, or a detailed rulebook
so wizards didn't have to be the primary method of solving fights in our
little sandbox over who owns the space under the swingset or the anthill, or
the shovel&pail.

The old game with it's authority against older / bigger players were also the
salt of this game. I bet most of the newbies had the plan/thhought that
someday i'm bigger than that fucking asshole or i have my revenge someway. Now
any lvl 40 newbie can tell you to fuck off and if you happen to pkill it,
you're just waiting for that 30d ban. Little less of this kind and less going
with mainstreamflowery might make this game as enchanting as it used to be.

I bet those pvp acts years ago made up more friendships than fucked up someone
gameplay totally

Yep, 100% right Glacius, that's the best post of the year you just wrote
there.

Most people on my friends list came from some pkill "war" and we all had a big
laugh after it and respected eachother, like Klingons! Now you are forced to
whine/ask arch every time you breathe for fear that someguy's arch friend will
ban you 30d for looking at him wrong. Now everyone has to bug arches to avoid
being punished.

Conquer pkilled me a shitload when I was a newbie and I stayed for 2 years
just to get REVENGE on he and his buddies, and I did, I waited for the right
moment/time, it took months of planning and years of exping to get to that
point, then I slayed him, and then we became good friends! Wouldn't have
happened otherwise.

In the old days how do you meet level 100s? They pkill you, then you ask them
to teach you, then they like you, then you are friends. In floewr mud, nobody
exps/eqs with newbies and now without those little pkill "hard lessons"
there's really no reason to even talk to newbies or look at them... how great
fun for them.
