As i was reading Blayke's post i couldn't help but agree with the words that
he was saying. I probably would have said it very similarly. I love the
people that i hang with here, and it is true that there are a couple of bad
apples. Do i condone threatening someone? no i don't but in the same breath
sometimes it takes strong words and a strong personality to invoke change to a
broken system. Gorge's reply to me sounded like a very straight arrow, black
and white, walk the line, follow the rules answer. I can't really disagree
with his words either becuase the rules are the rules. Unfortunately i would
have to say that his response lacks respect for others concerns. I have heard
tell of the "community" of the mud and i love this idea. Gorge's post in no
way conveys this. I'm not saying that everyone's thought are great, good or
so-so, some are bad even. Does this mean we should meet these, dare i say,
good ideas with "Please file your complains with some one who gives a fuck,
and your ideas on how to fix this mess to ideas-wanted. This is the last time
I will comment on this topic here. If you took offence to this post, than you
deserve it." I read this and i see all the comments from people that are first
to point out to newbies or someone that asks a single question how much of a
handless, sucky, newb they are. It's so easy to belittle people here and
saddening that it happens all to often. I would also say that by the ratings
of the two posts it does seem like blayke's position holds a captive audience
while gorge's thoughts on the matter are more of the small majority. I believe
it to not be a "personal" issue with blayke but a concern for many that play
this mud whether they are finnish or american. To be honest i don't really
keep track of that and hope that i never do, i see a player for a person that
loves the game and wants to have fun. Sometimes it takes passionate thoughts
and true emotions to evoke a change within a system and as history has shown
there will always be those who oppose it or j
ust don't really care to look at it. I would just like to restate that i think
blayke and gorge both made good points and they were both full of emotion. I
don't like violence although it is a part of this mud thru and thru. Blayke
makes an excellent point and i can see his frustration because this "robbing"
has been a problem for quite some time and nothing has been done about it. I
can see why he felt the passion to voice his thoughts because when you see an
injustice and no one doing anything about it you feel like screaming to make
people see the wrong that is going on. I support him 100% in the fact that
castle robbing is plain wrong. I cannot see it helping this mud grow in any
way, if in fact that is the path that this mud wants to take. I apologize to
Gorge if i've said anything that you take personally because i'm sure your a
pleasant fellow and did agree with what you said just not exactly how you said
it. I've also rambled as i tend to do in real life and i apologize for the
length of this and also if i should have placed it in ideas-wanted as gorge
has pointed out. Whether or not it's in the right place the issue is one that
i hope is addressed. Love you guys and girls!
