...continuing my rant on tuning from ideas-wanted.

First, let me be clear that I appreciate the effort wizards are
putting in. Especially in an environment such as BatMUD. Yes,
most wizards are lazy and too arrogant to even code, but those
who have the courage and energy to do coding, basically just
get ridiculed and pissed on.

Now, for some background. Every new area, eq, skill, spell,
guild, whatever, is an uptune. They give players options to do
stuff more powerfuly. Every single _minute_ of time is an uptune.
That's because each minute eq monsters are getting steamrolled,
exp and cash is pouring in, quests are being made, information
is being gained. Even if you dont play at all, you get stronger
through the players around you. And at the same time everything
you have accomplished in the past becomes less meaningful.

Think about that.

Attention Wizards and Archwizards! Think about how the stuff you
put in the game accelerates this trend and how it affects already
existing content. I'll give recent examples: continent quests, SBS,
caravans, rigs, food and multilimb races. Think how these tunes
affected the game. If you find a downtune, think why it had
to be done...
