Howdy ho!
Here's some completely useless statistics for you, concerning all secondaries
created so far.

Background breakdown:
civilized: 16
nomad: 62
good_religious: 24
evil_religious: 44
magical: 16

Most popular raceguilds:
outcasts : 15
bull_order : 15
wolfbane : 13
vagabond : 9

Most popular guilds:
ranger : 30
<secret ninja guild> : 18
tarmalen : 13
disciple : 12

Obviously, some people registered their illegal secondaries as secondaries.
Ulath handled that issue already I think.
