Few words about Bat-Tamagotchi (steeds, mounts, souls, whatnot) here from
party and especially eq-leaders view now that I have ran again into few very
horrible examples. Post this time in general cause I think its very current
and anyone bringing tamagotchi to party should read this.
First of all: Everything brought to a party should be a perk for the party.
Something that makes things more smooth and betters the outcome. When your
mount runs out of food, mount gets stranded cause you forgot to heel, RuG
drops always when needed to move, steed cant take hits or you cant prot/handle
your soul, tamagotchi loses fast its status to be a perk for the party and
becomes a weight. Usually horrible weight, really fast. Worst cases are when
party would need to wimpy/time runs on pet cause soul cant stay alive on mid
level mob for one whole run.
Remember you alone are in full responsibility about your pet. It is not
leaders job to take care of your dear squishy. Make mount foods beforehand,
get bardings for it, refresh that RuG etc on every tick break, don't ride your
squishy to Abbess entry, prot and heal your pet on your own (alch pots ftw?).
It isn't party job to take care of these or even prot your pet. This comment
that "its like 4th tank!!" is just total utter bs. I didn't at least invite
that level of sucking to be my tank. Seriously, what it brings to party is far
less than the time and sp it takes to prot it (or heal it) if that would be
party-job. Handle it yourself or leave it home.
Everyone makes mistakes I give you that. When these mishaps happen on my
leading its like:
First time: It happens. Lets save your pet together and try to learn for the
next time.
Second: Ok bearable, but don't do again.
Third: I will let it die or shoot it myself.
Usually if this gets to 4th or 5th time or you are an asshat about this on top
of all, you can be pretty sure you wont get asked to the party next time. At
least when something bad happens that impacts party run apologize for the
inconvenience rather than blame on others. It was totally your fault after
all.
Just my few,
Z (hopefully on behalf of all partyleaders)
