So what _should_ you bring on an adventure, anyhow? What does your
"standard-issue" swords-and-sorcery guy want to have onhand to deal with the
situations they will face?
For this contest, I want you to think of a list of TEN things that you'd put
into a backpack for a generic adventurer going to a generic adventure, in a
BatMUD-like game. Here are the rules:
-- all ten items must be able to fit in a backpack. The backpack does not need
to be one of the items on the list.
-- all ten items must be obtainable in BatMUD. I didn't say they had to be
common or easy, I said obtainable.
-- all ten items must be nonmagical. If you are not sure, mark the item with a
* and have a substitute in case I feel it needs to be replaced.
-- the pack is to be made for generic adventuring, not BatMUD-specific and
definitely not dungeon-specific. Just because you need a gold lamp for LQ 34.6
doesn't mean it belongs on your list.
-- repeated items are ok. If you think someone should have two shovels, put
down 2 shovels. Each counts towards your total of ten items.
Email your list, with your BatMUD primary character name, to shinarae_lluminus@
hotmail.com by 11:59PM EST Oct 14th. I will pick my favorite two plus a third
at random, for a total of 3 winners. Each will recieve an enchanted backpack
with +moderately of the stat of their choice.
