Hi. Currently, I am not a bard, but I want to weigh in on a problem some of my
friends (who are bards) are having with the guild.
The loremaster/masterbard system right now is not working. I am not sure if
there just aren't enough players or bards atm, but people are having to wait
ridiculous amounts of time to get plays, tales, etc approved. At one time,
Daria, Spid and Glaurung were all around to help get the noobie bards quests
pushed through the system. Now the current gms are just not around/active
enough to take care of this. I have one friend who has been waiting over a
month because of scheduling problems. Seriously, how the HELL does someone who
plays at american times EVER get his play approved when there are 0 (zero)
loremaster/mbards who play at that time.
Can we get a wizard or something to assist in reviewing plays? Hell even
FORMER bards would probably be willing to do this.
Yes, I understand the problem. I would like to know what is ridiculous amount
of time. I've got these tells "Can you come and see my play in 2 hours", "Can
you watch my play later tonight". Mostly answers are NO, earlier answers were
definately NO, since advertizing to Tales group and channels were missing.
Knowing you, these ridiculous times probably are less than 10 minutes. In past
winter I've meeb mostly online, don't remember receiving tells really trying
to schedule a play. When joining bards, there's a clear message saying things
are not always easy. Of course reading might prove annoying while playing text
game.
Couple tips for people who are trying to get things approved. Talk to
loremasters/Masterbards/Lorewizards. I know this sounds very hard for some
people, but then again, if you cannot arrange things, then you might not be
suitable for being a bard.
