Dear Smartphone-wielding Mortals,

If you're so inclined. I've put up a kind of BatMUD <-> IRC Bridge.
This means if you don't already have a way of getting into Bat on your
smartphone to keep in touch you can try this one out and see how it works for
you.

I've mostly thrown this together for the gala, and for people who don't have a
laptop handy. It currently will allow only direct tells or chat/bat/gala
channels for communication at this time.

You can also see your last tells and use 'last' on channels.

So if you're interested. The server hostname is 'ircgw.bat.org' port 6667, you
should set your Nickname to be your BatMUD character name and the 'server
password' to be your BatMUD character password.

This should work on Android,Apple,SymbianOS. Instructions for an Android setup

Thanks to Gore and Juggelo for helping get this set up and Elwynes and Grizzt
for the testing and feedback. If it's useful to folks then I may develop this
further. Real batapp anyone?

This also works from mibbit (http://www.mibbit.com/) so you can chat on bat
from a web browser. Here are the steps:

1) Click "Launch Mibbit Client"
2) Login (or create a free account)
3)Click "Account" in the upper right corner
4) Scroll down to My IRC Accounts and add a new entry: ircgw.bat.org,
<username>, <password>, PASS, UTF-8. Save changes.
5) Scroll back down and Connect.

Normal irc commands work to join the channels or /msg people. One thing to
keep in mind though, if your secondary is on or just logged out then you can't
login with your primary. This is expected, but the irc server doesn't give
any feedback that this is what's wrong. In the game it shows that you enter
the game and are online/etc. Pretty cool.

Now you can chat from work from the web ;)
