If spawn negates the penalties that Ent's face during the winter months
(because they're no longer a tree), why is it that when you shapechange to an
owl, unicorn, parrot, ape, tortoise, etc. as a druid, you don't receive the
same benefits. If I'm not longer a tree, why am I being affected by inclimate
weather?

The same goes for other races and shapechange. As a vampire, if you
shapechange to unicorn you get both unicorns "tick only in light" AND vampires
light allergy. Very nice.
I agree with mrt Fuser. Fix so that shapechange gives similar benefits that
spawn does, in terms of racial allergies or ticking only in dark/light places
etc, or simply fix spawn so that it doesn't.
Let's be honest here, guys. The changes to the ent race, with winter slowness
etc, were mostly done to prevent those insanely good evil_relig hybrid reincs.
So the ent race was made useless. Then spawns get added, which negates the
uselessness of ents and suddenly evil_relig hybrid is the ONLY thing you can
play as ent. People actually using the race as tarmadruid or something were
the only ones screwed in the process, and they weren't even the problem to
begin with...

Probably _THE_ change that most of the player base stand behind, one that has
fallen on deaf ears since forever.
