I think nomad bg should be spiced up with an opportunity to choose a quild in
which it really would matter if you are good or evil aligned. Now it doesn\'t
make much a difference if you are good barbarian or an evil one..
It would be nice if there was a quild that would exile or even try to kill you
on sight if you turn to the opposite alignment. It could differ from the
religious guilds as nomads are not as close to their gods as religious
characters. Stats wouldn\'t drop when you lose your alignment, but you would
need to flip back and then perform some quest maybe before you could enter
your guild again. It could demand a sacrifice of a pointed item too or
something..
This would definately need a new guild (or even two) to happen, and I know
that it would not be an easy task to do it, but hopefully this post can act as
a seed that someday grows into something.
One example for what I had in mind would be if rangers was limited to good
aligned characters and there could be a roaming guildmaster somewhere where
you could join \"dark rangers\" or whatever.. then you would have
access to different kind of skills etc. Something similar for barbs.. If they
were limited to evil alignment, then you could choose to join
semi-druidic-shamanic-goodwilled guild instead.
But those are just (poor) examples, these guilds need not be rivals to each
other. Something totally new would work much better I think.
The bottom line: I would like to see a real difference between choosing a good
or an evil aligned nomad.
