This area needs some serious work. I remember when I was a newbie, magic
wands were top end eq that only a few people had, and were worth multiple
megs. Soth maul was actually a kickass weapon instead of a piece of crap
newbie eq.
As most high-level players know, flying citadel is essentially a
blast-n-slash, plow your way through to Lord Soth area. A few years ago, the
area underwent some much needed changes, but as players have become more
powerful, it has led to an extreme overabundance of flying citadel equipment
being dumped into the game. Many eq parties have had the mentality of "Well
fuck I don't feel like doing anything that involves thinking, lets just go
rape Citadel again."
If any wizard or archwizard feels like listening, I have a whole list of ideas
that could be used to improve this area, in such a way that at least I would
feel would make it more interesting and enjoyable.
