Monsters do always get their hit in the first round regardless of weapon
speed. As for players, well that is just a trade off in weapon types.

But the reason monsters hit in the first round is prevent abuse.
but if you start combat with some skill like bcry you should get first round
atleast? =) kind a silly if you stun your enemy and still you cant hit him..
