I have no idea if this has been suggested before in the past, or if this would
be technically feasible at all, but here it goes:

Being able to set parry separately for each weapon/limb would add interesting
spice and some realism to the game. In typical situation a player might choose
not to parry with his right arm wielding a sword, but instead parry with his
left arm holding a shield.

that would make sense, because if I was trained with a shield
I would try to parry more often with it, to make better
use of my sword

Yeah I was thinking of that separate parry thing per limb too. It does seem
overly complex though, maybe not. Letting parry not reduce attack speed for
each weapon which has a corresponding shield would accomplish same thing as
well and be more simple (I think). But then raises the issue of what about
set... dunno, probably something will be done. Even the original parry from
WAAAY back had some pentalty for not using a shield, which seems to have
dissappeared sometime between 1995 and like 2003... so current parry tune
with a new tune to offset weapon speed reduction would put us back to like it
was in the old days (heh sort of, but I dont even know if that is the goal
really, not like that was a perfect system either)
I hate this editor :) ignore that like that says "But then raises the issue of
what about ..." I just dont feel like deleting it
