Makes you unable to have colours on your term. Makes a bit hard for some
people to notice objects and monsters, doesn't it :)

Speaking from experience as I have "term dumb" on all the time, I must say
people would just use triggers for coloring. Only real difference is the lack
of color on aggro monsters, which can be annoying at times.
