How about giving us a real christmas and chance
to permanently claim one eq each christmas.
With this impressive uptune players would
have more interest on happenings on sales-channel.
Instead of each Christmas, how about a system for claiming ur name. Here\'s my
idea.
Implement a way to claim ur name on eq using cash and you can make it
exponential so it won\'t be so easy. Something like 1M for your first claim,
2M for the next, 4M then 8M, etc. To prevent cheating, put restrictions like
you need minimum 50M xp and 50 days age. Cuz face it, nubus will have no need
for this. And to not piss off those with claimable eq, make this system only
work on named eq already made. This will give us midbies a chance to put our
name on several of our most prized eq. And when you think about it, this will
not alter balance of the game in any way. The average midbie will prolly only
use this 2-3 times. For example, 7M to claim 3 pieces of eq PLUS the cash to
buy the eq in question will prolly come to 30-40M+ cash easily. Obviously, this
is not so easy to do. Or if the wizzes are lenient and wanted to really spice
up sales, make each claim cost 2M or something like that. This would make it
possible for a dedicated midbie to claim prolly 3-4 highend eq or if he/she
wanted, to claim 5-6 midend eq.
Advantages:
1) Revive sales--Hibies, and even midbies may actually be able to sell some of
their most expensive eq instead of spamming sales with eq costing 20M+ that
will never get sold otherwise. Why you say? Because hibies would never pay
that much for eq that they can go make on their OWN! And midbies will not pay
that much for one piece of eq that took them 6 months to cash that will
eventually break due to nametune. And nubus--well you know why. This idea
will of course have no effect on eq costing say, 500k or less. Heck, prolly
even 1M or less. But 2M+ eq may be sold with more regularity, which will make
hibies happy for actually being able to sell them and make midbies happy for
being able to get their name on good eq.
2) Remove excess cash from the game--it is my undestanding that one of the
reasons for the cash guild costs is to remove the already mountain of excess
cash that floats in the game. Well, this system would certainly do that.
3) Make players happy! I can\'t speak for anyone else of course but I would
certainly be a happy camper if I could put my name on a couple of my eq. And
as we all know, happy players make a happy and more fun batmud! :DDD
