I think it would be a cool idea to have party leader be able to call out
targets and everyone else could just type like p target to auto target
whatever monster leader has targeted

I think it's still a valid idea. CUrrently, if you're in an area where
monsters are wandering a lot, different players doing 'target guard 1' might
end up pointing at different guards. I'd expect that the party target command
would cause everyone to target the same physical monster...and, as the first
poster mentioned, you'd still need to do some command to activate it (there
may be cases where diff people want to target different monsters).
As for botting, it would be just as easy to set a bot to target the monster
when the party leader does 'party report target -> bunny'

Maybe ooga should just tell his idle tank friends to right a trigger that puts
target <monster> to mud whenever someone says target <monster> on party
channel.

Even better would be to put in a trigger for your idle tanks that sends a
command given by leader on party channel directly to mud. Just set it so
anything said on party channel that starts with !! goes directly to mud.

Er wait, is this how people already do it and want the mud to do that for them
so as not to slow down their clients with all these triggers?

There is no way I am going to make partying _this_ easy.

Seriously, if you're too spammed, laggy, inexperienced, or distracted by p0rn
to type a single line before your spell goes off, maybe partying isn't for
you. Maybe you should reinc to a guild like merchant, which gives you 30 nice,
leisurely rounds between amalgamation skills to type the next line.
