I think if the soul is sucked from a corpse, it should loose the ability to
turn undead.

In most fantasy literature undeads don't have a soul. For example, liches keep
their soul in a separate jar, and zombies and such have no souls whatsoever
(explaining their complete lack of compassion etc.)

Well you cant get souls from undeads....so maybe a soul can die twice and then
its gone except when you suck the soul you are gettin rid of the soul so it
cant live a second time

If we go further, there would just be philosophical conversation if demons,
devils, elementals or constructs have a soul. Reminds me of a story about a
golem who tries to understands feelings and a woman who falls in love with
that golem, and during that story they had a conversation if golems have a
soul or not. So romantic. :)
