Reincing really shouldn't hurt your rep-skills in any guilds.
Let me make an example:
Player M, the forever mage. Player B, the forever barb.
Player R, the reincaholic, stays 1 month in mage, 1 month
in barb, 1 month in something else, then same cycle again.
Everybody exps enough to keep exp-pool clean (effectively,
say 500k / day with exprate).
After 1 year, player M has made roughly 180m, and primary
essence is at around 35.
Player B has also made about 180m, with what, 80k barb reputation.
Player R has made about 150m, primary essence at 30, 6.5k barb rep.
Explanation:
Player R has spent 4 months in mage (not losing rep when reincing),
thus his primary essence is bit under 30, and he's about 30% as strong
as M as leader candidate.
Player R also spent 4 months in barbs (losing half the rep on reinc),
making about 7k in every reinc. ((((7k/2)+7k)/2+7k)/2+7k)/2, that is
whopping _6.5k_ reputation after reinc.
Now, is this fair? if he didn't lose any rep in reincs, he'd still
only have 4x7 = 28k barbrep, or roughly third of player B.
On top of this, both M and B gained that 180m exp, using 0 gold coins
in reincs. Lets say R has enough exp for level 80 at first, level 90
at end of year. He's spent with slow reinc about 33m exp in
reinctaxes, and 12-17m money. Also, with slow reinc, he spent half his
time regening exp.
Exp and money cost is somewhat acceptable (though, heavy reincers
should get discount on the money part), but to me losing rep too
on top of exp+money is just too harsh. Some people want to stay
in one reinc, others enjoy reincing immensely. Why should they
be punished for getting the kicks of this game in a different
way? This game should (mostly?) be about fun, and being barb
long enough for 100k reputation for the eldership just isnt
fun for most of the population.
