Since characters age during idle (I've onced idled a character to oblivion)
it would be nice to be able to chat around, follow conversations and such
without aging. Me personally I would like to keep my char here 24/7, I get
frustrated to log on and off all the time when I'm not doing something
constructive. I play also, but more periodically, like when I have more
time to spare, but often I have to do something every now and then, and
playing is impossible but I'd still like to follow a conversation or wait
somebody to answer (offline tells help a bit) and such.

Since now bat has the hardware and the resources to host much more players,
it would be nice to have an 'idle'-mode. You could set your char to this
mode and it would not age (or just reduce the amount of aging) until you've
disabled it again. The procedure could take like five minutes (both ways).
You could do this only at your start location, and any attempt to do battle
with monsters would be catastrophical.

I would use that option, anyways .
