If i've trained lets say 1.2MB on a level with blocks, and I'm missing 500k.
Then I finish a level quest, and suddenly the level cost drops drastically.
What happens then? Where does the extra exp go when you advance? I've yet
found the nerve to try. If nobody knows what happens, could somebody make it
stack for the next level if it does not do that already?
I'm posting this because I've asked around and nobody seems to know the
truth.

It 99% likely goes to spent exp. Same thing that happens when you reinc with
partial level trained (yeah, reincaddict like me completely ignore those kind
of possible losses ).. It even had a special message to go along with it,
like 'Ooops, you seem to have too much exp for this shit' and rest goes to
totals.

You'll "lose" it for the level, you'll gain it back with next reinc.
