As skills and spells can be trained/studied over the racemax, but will cost
like hell - could bat implement a more thorough system where you could
excel in a skill/spell by using it. It would not be a +% of the skill/spell
as such, but more of a bonus for using the sk/sp frequently.
Like now Rangers have +dam to bladed fury, +camping, -leather craft
skill cost etc. as rewards for completing guild quests. I would really
like to see a neat statistic on how much I've used my skills, and when
I've used them enough (read: robots are illegal), I would get a bonus
to it. Like -cost +dam +effects and such.
I've seen this implemented once in another place, and it was SUCH much
fun to do it knowing that doing it actually had a greater goal and a
reward.
If anyone still failed to see the picture, let me illustrate:
If you use bladed fury for n+1 times, you would get -epcost/+dam to it.
If you cast 'electrocution' n+1 times, you would get better at using
reagents and would get -spcost ... and so on.
In my own point of view, this would encourage me to use skills I
would otherwise not use, to gain special bonuses for them that
would actually make them fun and productive to use. This would also
give an edge to some extent that skills/spells could not be
trained to their full potential by just exp.
