Some days ago I stumbled across to word 'tomfoolery' and I hadn't heard the
word before. Logical solution - search the web. Found the answer but that
isn't the point of this post.

I thought that it would be nice if BatMUD had the 'word of the day'-feature.
In 'BatWord' you could suggest some english word for all to see. With the
explanation of course. You really should include your source for the
explanation (if any) and maybe write the explanation yourself, copyrights
anyone?

You suggest the word and if it gets approved - others get to read it. One word
per day. Simple as that. I'm sure that many of you know english words that I
don't even want to hear about, but I am just as sure that none of you know all
the words. Now and then you might pick a new word for your vocabulary.

A group of wizards and/or mortals could check the words first and the approved
ones get in the queue, the actual word of the day could be chosen maybe
randomly.

Smallish and simple example:
The word: a cat
Source: First link I found from the Web (You'll have do better than this)
Explanation: feline mammal usually having thick soft fur and no ability to
roar
Other uses: Cat-o'-nine-tails, a spiteful woman gossip; "what a cat she is!"

And if the words can be translated to finnish, I don't see any reason not to
add those on the word-command.

Quite raw idea, but feel free to discuss.
