Just some crazy random idea, inspired by todays shortlived ban for Nazrix. I
think we need some way to remember and celebrate those famous (and infamous)
mudders, playing currently or long since retired, who have helped make BatMUD
into the truely memorable place it is. Whether you hate them or love them,
whether they are nice, idiots, or just plain jackasses, there are special
people which, years after they are gone, still get remembered. I propose that
once per year (maybe on BatMUD's anniversary?) nominations are opened for
characters past and present who we players feel truely deserve to be called
legends. Finalists would be chosen, the players would vote, and the winner
would be inducted into a sort of BatMUD hall of fame, possibly similar to that
room where all the past and present Wizards are honoured. There'd be no money
award, no +anything, maybe at most a 'LEGEND' rank available to those legends
who still play, but the players name would be remembered forever more, with a
little blurb about who they were, and why they were a legend.

Maybe it would need to be a different duration (every half year, every two
years, whatever), still, I think BatMUD is more than a game, we are a
community, and we should honour and remember those that have truely stood out.

That's my 2 cents anyway.

I'm glad some good idea came out of that "misunderstanding" yesterday, sounds
good, kind of like voting box is already. Might be nice.
