As many equipments tend to have more weight than some people would like them
to have, a stupid idea appeared in my little head. Could it be possible that
merchants could get somekind of equipment cutting skill for items that are
made of normal materials i.e steel etc, it could lessen equipments weight by
making it thinner, of course the skill would have penalties like taking away
some max cond, making it more vulnerable to damage, and in case of fumble
breaking the magic seals of item and lessening its magical properties, and of
course it would not profit as good protections when made less heavy and
"good". But still I feel some people would take their chances on their weighty
items to try get some weight out of them, when succeeding, the items price
would of course be higher on marketting so even merchants could make "light
weight" o-yoroi's with luck and constant trying. Just an idea, flame at will.

A better solution would be to give merchants the ability or chance to make
decent protted eq out of lighter weight materials, instead of just one type of
eq out of 2 or 3 different materials.
Or maybe just an occasional weapon that doesn't hit like a diseased week-old
trout
