While I have my \'Hat of Wishful Thinking\' on, how about an RSS Feed for the
newsgroups?

I'm not a huge fan of content syndication myself, but would it
really be benefitial to offer the discussion topics as RSS? If so,
what would you do with it?

Well, you wouldn\'t need to manually poll the newsgroups now and then, the
computer would do it for you. And you could also skip most of the hairy parts
of the user interface (i.e. my RSS news reader allows for better \'next
article\' features than the one here in the webnews).

Still, more hassle than it is worth IMHO.

On a sidenote, I"m always open for suggestions about webnews improvements.

How about news rating through web and ability to change news-group when
replying to someone? Those would be nice to have in webnews. I think they have
been suggested before, but haven\'t seen anything about them in a long time.

I would have it in my Thunderbird setup right next to slashdot, penny-arcade,
the register and the daily wtf.

I feed everything to RSS. In fact, I manage just about every aspect of my life
through my RSS client. It would be something I would use a lot, but certainly
can live without. I suppose the to main advantages for me would eb that I
would read items before they become old news, and I would more easily be able
to read a broader range of groups.
