I\'m expecting that new client will have all the fine trigs and candy already
inbuilt. It is the only way to make the situation even between the coder
mudfreaks and regular mudnerds.
At least in my opinion everyone should be in the same line right from the
beginning. Think about playing WOW and the best coders would be the most tough
players. How many people would start playing?

Would be very nice if i could use the client to connect to my linux box,
launch tf there, and have both my fine trigs and new features+gui
You do realize that the WoW client has a scripting language too (lua),
and that pretty much all decent WoW players are running addons that
aren't supplied by Blizzard? The most successful raid guilds have
people who code new addons (to announce upcoming special attacks etc)
for new encounters.
As for the BatMUD client, in the first phase the target is to make
a client that looks good and is much nicer to use than a default
telnet client. The target audience is new players. Scripting, triggers
etc is not scheduled until the second phase of development.
