Now that we have the new armour system with armour really affecting the amount
of damage you take in combat, perhaps some drastic changes could be made to
dodge skill and ability to avoid hits. Everyone knows that a knight wearing a
full plate mail does not really rely on dodging the attacks of the enemy, so
maybe the system could be made to reflect this?


So, my idea is: make the armour you are wearing affect the ability to dodge so
that when you wear a full suit of plate armour your dodge skill would
effectively be almost 0. Vice versa, if you are equipped with good old silk
tank eq your dodge skill should be considerably more effective than it is
currently. Maybe something similar with avoid and of course some balancing so
there could actually be different styles of combatants suitable for different
size and type of monsters.

Doesn't weight already accomplish this to some degree? If you want it to be
more obvious, double,triple, whatever you want.. but increase the affect of
carried weight on dodge.
