I've created a nice little trigger for zmud that shows how many rooms you are
missing from the next explore% that is shown in your score command, basically
looks like this:
Explore: 12795/15069 (E%: 84) -14 Last reinc: May 18 2006
maybe its cool enough to actually be added to the game officially and I could
remove my trigs?

I have a counter-idea. See, every so often, the topic comes up "we have too
many stupid people here, there should be an IQ minimum to post/play". How
about, as a mild alternative, we require our players to know a few basic
concepts, like, oh I don't know...basic algebra! No, hear me out. What if, for
example, if someone wanted to know how many rooms to get to 85 E%, they
instead did "bc 15069 * 0.85" and got
12808.6, which in turn rounds up to 12809, which is (surprise surprise) 14
more rooms than 12795? It'd be fun _and_ educational! And it might just slow
down the number of players thinking with their triggers!
Shinarae Lluminus * 0.85
Ok, so maybe that was a bit harsh. However, I will say that the number of
times a player needs to know how many rooms to the next % is only really
necessary at certain key percentages (nav levels and a couple level quests).
I'm not sure it's worth adding yet another computation to score/short
score/prompt when a character will need it at most 7 times in a reinc.
And, based on the post's current rating, I don't think there's enough popular
support to warrant it. I would bet real money that, if I implimented such a
change, the very next post would be "give us an option to turn it off".
