I was thinking the same thing, but with dynamic list.
1 +mortal users/50 (rounding down) = number of simultaneous requests
Or with a timed funktion.
for every X minutes passed by without anyone completing the search, a new
creature would be added to the list.
X could be number of players online, players/2, temperature outside, age of the
wizard who coded the damn thing, number of people done the LQ, number of
pairless socks the player has in his/her closet or the rating of this post.
Or the creatures value could build up over time.
Requests value vwould start from zero and for every minute the creatures point
value would increase by one. If on returning the request there would be less
than (mortal users/10) creatures on request, one more would be added to the
request list.
I like the last one as greed is good regulator.
