It is true that the amount of +epr eq is very, very small. Some of you have
already figured out why that is. For the rest, allow me to explain:

Take your average, say, lvl 50 ogre ranger (your standard issue newbie tank).
They get str in the area of 120-140, hpr in the area of 60-70, and epr in the
area of 10-15 (with no eq, not counting battle tics).
That newbie gets a shiny new +10 str ring. Ok, nice, that's about an 8%
increase for a single item. The same newbie gets a +5 hpr ring. Also, about 8%
increase. The newbie finds a +5 epr ring. That's an increase in the 33 to 50
percent range. Admittedly, that's a little large. (True, a +10 intelligence
ring would do the same, but the ogre ranger is far more likely to use eps than
int/sps). Because almost every player that uses eps gets far, far less natural
epr than hpr, the same _total_ bonus would be a much larger _proportional_
bonus. In the ongoing effort to keep things balanced, +epr eq would have to be
much, much more limited, each item at maximum giving out +1 ep per tick, just
to keep it online with other +anything eq. I am fairly certain that tanks
would only use such eq if they couldn't find a more "classic" eq, such as +dam
or +dodge, for that slot.

Fortunately, a smart player can find ways around this issue. Idleressers and
idlereincers might be tempted to reloc and bot/regen (or both!) for a small
donation. ALchies would be more than willing to part with a few camping,
campfire, bot or regen potions for a small fee, which you could store in a
potion pack until needed. While these options might seem pricy at first, they
are the most convinient and effective ways of boosting that epr, and each one
individually packs a pretty strong effect.

Are there other ways to get those eps back? Of course. But the creative,
intelligent, resourceful players with the high E% have already found them.
I'll let them either hoard the info for themselves, or sell it to the highest
bidder, as they see fit.

Some might say that this a large part of problem in the first place, that ep
usage outpaces natural ep regain to a seriously screwed degree.

Except, of course, if it was in a swap set, much like how spr/hpr eq is used.
Its not a different concept.

Since I personally don\'t lean very far in the creative/intelligent/resourceful
direction, maybe the rest of you don\'t have to stand around for 10 mins every
time you just walk to an area for exp like I do, or maybe you find that fun
and stimulating, I don\'t know. You smart people are crazy like that
sometimes. However, epr is far enough down the list of my own personal
problems that it really isn\'t worth harping on (until the next time I reinc
reaver or (ugh!) merch =P)
