Make it work only if cast in the same room as a player, no need for a bunch of
idle players/retired/low players to be able to sit in their castles chaining
curse of tarmalen at people whenever they please. Pestilence has a high fumble
chance and consequences, but it should also be a spell cast in the room of the
target, and make them offensive spell chants.

Abuse of this spell is BS but if we do what you recomend tarms are just subject
to geting crapped on. I think this spell is a necessary spell for tarms but
maybe it could be limited on the number of times it could be casted on a
player? Personally I know that i have NEVER cast this spell at any player but
to each his own. Oh and i have been a tarm for a long long..... time.

This spell does not prevent me from killing the hell out of someone who justly
deserves it even if they are tarmalen, I don't think anyone else is
significantly affraid of it either, it's just annoying and unnecessary to be
able to chain cast it in your city castle once you've retired from batmud at
people you don't like. It'd be more effective to just summon people from
parties than cast this spell since anyone who parties doesn't rely on hp regen
too much, atleast I don't, but a summon would be very harmful. Tune it.
