This seems like s reasonable suggestion and I am fairly sure I can code it
without causing all player cities to melt into a horrible burning mass. I said
probably. However, messing with player city code should only be done in the
rarest and most mandatory of situations, because that is where players keep
their eq. Creating a security hole or other eq-risking problem is not high on
my list of things to do. Therefore, before I do this, I want to make sure of a
few things:

-- is anyone concerned that a landlord might set door ownership to a third
party, namle a thief, who can stop by at any time and open the door with
impunity?

-- doors saving their data will take up space just like room settings and
chest. We have the HD space, but do remember what happens when you put too
much stuff in a single pcity room. Is anyone concerned that, for example,
their chest room with 6 doors might bug and lose items (or, worse, seal them
in a no-teleport no-exit room?)

-- are there any other concerns about risk to chests and eq (either due to
mortals or bugs)?

If you have a serious concern, send it to me via the usual routes. Please do
not spam either me or this newsgroup with "no, I don't see a problem".
