I think offskills are a bit underpowered. A small uptune might be to let them
have the chance of utilizing things like stun and find weakness. This also
might help out bladed fury\'s multiple strikes, which I seem to recall hearing
is lousy compared to cleave.
Then again, its been about five years since I\'ve actually used offskills as
anything but backup damage, so maybe I don\'t know what I\'m talking about. Just
seems that every party has tiger and barb, and by the time lure has fired the
mob is dead, so only one tank per party actually uses off skills.
How about adding (not sure if it might be already in use) stunning and critical
bonuses for offensive skills, and depending on weapon and skilltype. Like using
pound on someone with a really heavy maul or such, would have a chance of
stunning the monster or interrupting skill/spell if one manages to get a
really good pound going. Shortblade users could gain from using stab on
monsters with weak armours, getting criticals of sort. Long blade users might
get an equal chance of both above. Polearms would be more effective on bigger
monsters specially, yes you can hit a mouse with a lance thus squashing it,
but only if you dont miss your hit on such a small opponent, but a cow or
dragon would be easier to hit with it. That way some guilds like crimsons or
other multiweapon tanking guilds could benefit from training and using
different weapontypes. Also using large weapon twohanded might give some bonus
to the skill unless you are a giant wielding a weapon that doesnt require much
effort from you, but an orc wielding a maul with only slight ease, would
strike harder with a skill using two hands. I hope I had a clue somewhere in
this.
