Knowing someone's guild level outside of the guild has never been allowed
before, and it probably won't be allowed in the future. This is especially
true in the case of civilized guilds (the more clever of you have already
figured out why).

My point was that when you're looking for a service, any service, you
often end up waiting an answer from a player who has 1-10 levels on the
guild and your service requires atleast 20 or more.
'class' is a good nudge to the right direction, but I think we need
something more elaborate to help people find services instead of
shouting in the channels.
I already suggested something like this at post 7176 in ideas-wanted,
but all I got was 'help classify'. People don't use it, and somebody
should figure out a carrot that makes people use it. For instance
if you classify yourself as a merchant, you get an info to your
finger that He/She is a merchant. or Mage and Conjurer, and if you
choose to put your class up, and you're high up in the guild, you'd
get some nice message including your status in the guild.
Oh yes, merchants DO already have that. Why not extend it a bit?

A better idea would be ability in guild like rangers have for rangerability
and barbs have like rep.
