With your magnificent skill in alertness you decide not to run any longer.
How, exactly, does alertness figure into this? Alertness is the skill that
lets you avoid an ambush, and continue walking smoothly past the monster. If
anything, you should stop if you _don't_ have alertness.
Seriously now, you're acting as if strolling aimlessly and blindly through the
deep, dark forest of a fantasy world is a happy frolicking number-one good
time. Sine when is that the case in any swords-and-sorcery world? There are
lions and tigers and bears, oh my, and you might even get eaten by a Grue. Is
it really that much to stick to the roads, use nav spells, or at least look at
where you're going every once in a while?
And no, I'm also not going to code the command "walk east until a monster is
in the way, then take a step around it" or "work with my delims so that, if I
walk east and then stop, I don't continue the rest of my instant-go-to-guild
command". We don't tuck you in at night, we don't wipe your noses, and we
don't hold your hand when you're crossing the street.
