How about when mages go to mage guild and open portal to type guild he could go
out in the outerworld there. And when he is opened the portal, he could come
from the type guild to main guild in Arelium. Maybe you could restrict this to
no-eq like portals.

One upside in this is that training in conjurer guild would be much more
easier because acid mage guild is near conjurers.

Nowadays the type guilds are quite useless, this would raise their values and
make them almost usable.
