time stamps when reading bat last are times in E.E.T. that's great and all,
but for some of the channels that aren't used as much, there's no way to tell
how long it's been since something was said.
instead of the time from some clock, which is completely relative thanks to
the rotation of the earth and whatnot, how about having it give elapsed time.
that way it doesn't matter where you are, this was said an hour and a half ago
[01:30]. i guess maybe it would make the mud do more math or something. maybe
it could be an option you could switch on an off, or maybe it could be
something you don't get as an option 'til you hit a certain level, like quote.
i think i've read some ideas about setting your time zone or whatever. but
this is something that would get around the fact that a message on a channel
could be months old, but the fact it was said at [10:14] E.E.T. doesn't really
matter at that point.
How about you just implement timezones in channel last, we already have the
ability to let players decide their timezone.
Some channels already record the date, but perhaps it could be an option to
turn it on, at least on SS+ channels.
