After reading juos question about what's up with new locs and gores reply to

As a relatively fresh wiz, with some random codings done, and more
plans on stuff in progress, let me share something. Free time is
really limited, and coding stuff takes surprisingly much time. Some
things get done on schedule, most don't. Often projects get aborted
for one reason or the other, this being a hobby and all, and this
thing called RL interrupting...
So, you reveal things beforehand and one of several nasty things
happen. Mortals get hopes up, things don't get done, lots of whine.
Or, mortals don't like the idea, lots of whine. Or, mortals come up
with alternative "better" ways of doing it, heated conversations
ensue, ending up in lots of whine. Or all of the above.
Also, the whine causes direct lack of motivation (I know), which
causes delays, which in turn causes more whine. Revealing things
after they are done (which I do think is really important) means,
that the whine doesn't hinder the actual coding, and some things
actually get done.
Just my thoughts.
