After reading juos question about what\'s up with new locs and gores reply to
it, I kindy request an inform post that states how ingame things are faring.

I think this has been requested before, and the replies\'ve been \'yeah no I
don\'t know when it\'ll be ready so better be quiet\' or \'no wiz is
interested in making a post like that\'.
However, reading inform messages like the one from \'Tue Sep 04 11:44:21 2007
[general] by Amarth\' and next the one from \'Sat Sep 08 21:06:55 2007
[general] by Favorit\' makes me really want to have some inform on upcoming
events.
Also, it seems to be a habit that some share information to mortals who just
ask. Without making any assumptions on whether the same tells would be told to
everyone asking, I think it\'s unfair.

I think it\'s a sad state of affairs if the response to collected informative
post like this is that no one knows what\'s going in the bigger picture.

Currently things just seem to happen (code implemented, some aspects changed,
new areas opened, etc.) without any information or \'<insert something
general here> was changed\' being posted.

I'll try to arrange such a post for you. Although, it's kinda a tradition that
this kind of posts happen once a year, maybe you're right in assumption that
we should make it more often.

As a relatively fresh wiz, with some random codings done, and more
plans on stuff in progress, let me share something. Free time is
really limited, and coding stuff takes surprisingly much time. Some
things get done on schedule, most don't. Often projects get aborted
for one reason or the other, this being a hobby and all, and this
thing called RL interrupting...

So, you reveal things beforehand and one of several nasty things
happen. Mortals get hopes up, things don't get done, lots of whine.
Or, mortals don't like the idea, lots of whine. Or, mortals come up
with alternative "better" ways of doing it, heated conversations
ensue, ending up in lots of whine. Or all of the above.

Also, the whine causes direct lack of motivation (I know), which
causes delays, which in turn causes more whine. Revealing things
after they are done (which I do think is really important) means,
that the whine doesn't hinder the actual coding, and some things
actually get done.

Just my thoughts.
