Well, that's certainly true if you think about a person and a horse.
However, I'm more than confident in saying that a centaur could ride, say, a
whale. Or a huge chimera. Or perhaps a large turtle. See where I'm going? I
believe there are size restrictions for riding already, I don't think any
additional limits are in place. Of course, we could ask if our rodents are too
big. But then problem is not with centaurs, then.
