why must levels cost the same for all, it makes no sense! Calculate the
average between skill & spellcosts and that could be a rate for levelcosts.
sure some races might end up more expensive and other cheaper, but hey, thats
a game for you!
Also this arcaneskills to 100% for all is old and a relic from times where
skillmaxes actually limited how high you can train. Nowadays with
overtraining, it should be removed and let the usual game mechanics take
place.
Instant swapping should be removed, it takes time to change clothes for the
unskilled, maybe heartbeat per item for the unskilled, and those trained in
the mastery of changing clothes ( i guess performing bards would get this)
maybe 3 items / heartbeat.
Levelcosts haven't been raised for ages, isn't it about time to add another
100megs of expcosts into the levels, im sure. or for good measure, 100megs
into 1-90 and 200megs into 90-100, just to make sure the game doesn't fill up
with lvl 100 people. Too expnub lvl 100 people make the ones with hands look
bad! Its like lvl 100 doesn't mean anything anymore, no tstaus to be had!
It will never apply. If you didn't already know this, TP's are most likely
"paid" for, especially in the case of people with full boons. Since they are a
"special" they will never be cleared in rebirth and even if they were, no one
with boons would rebirth which isn't going to solve any problems.
And how would you implement it? Remove the taskpoints of
everybody who has already rebirthed (even though they did
not know that was the case at the time of rebirth) or
just make it apply for new rebirths (which gives people
who rebirthed previously a strong advantage)?
I see no easy solution to this, and no matter what we did
there would be strong complaints and demands for debirths
(which would take alot of our time).
I'm not seriously thinking that you are going to take TPs from rebirthing
players (no matter how much support the article seems to have gotten). I know
how important TPs are to players, and how important cash is to Bat. However,
if certain highbies feel that the game has gotten far too easy for them, they
are certainly free to take matters into their own hands.
The point is more to remind wizards that not everyone has the (_huge_)
advantage of boons, and to keep that in mind when they consider their tunes.

That swap thing would suck, because... *shrug* It would hurt too much... But
otherwise I AGREE! Half of players in game are lv100, year 2010 that will be
99%... so please _raise_ level costs from lv50->100 and change arcane skills
to normal skills (in exp cost that is) .
I don't quite agree on increasing level costs. First, I do
not see it as a big issue that we have alot of player at
max level. Many games are built so that the real fun only
begins at max level, so having an even level distribution
is by itself not a requirement for a good game.
Second, and more importantly, every time we increase the
level costs, it mainly affects the newer players, not the
old (already unbalanced?) ones with a ton of exp. I think
there is already too much of a gap for a new player to catch
up before he/she can become a "highbie", and I don't think
increasing the expcost of levels would help that situation
at all.
I don't have much of an opinion on the instant gearchanging.
It would make sense from a realism PoV to code it, but I
wonder if it is worth the hassle.
