Shinarae has said that swimming or the ability to cross water safely was
available to every background, so we have no excuse to whine. While this may
be true, I don't think it is fair to expert reavers for example to make do
with 15% water walking from background. That's the only example I know off the
top of my head, it's possible, even probable, that there are other guilds that
will have more trouble. I understand that not everyone can swim well enough to
cross a raging river, but the ability to swim is such a basic thing, shouldn't
all guilds get it to atleast say 50%, or even 70%, even if they aren't uuber
olympic swimmers. Fair enough to tell highbies to take a guild with swimming,
or get a staff of elements or whatever, but I don't think it's quite right to
say to some newbie with 20m totals "Reinc to a different guild or go get a
staff of elements". This is my only problem with this whole swimming tune, if
everyone had the ability to train swimming, or reasonably easy access to
waterwalking or floating, then it certainly makes sense, and anyone who
doesn't train it deserves whatever they get.

Ofcourse it's been a while since I was reaver, and if things have changed, and
every guild DOES have access to some nice safe way to cross water, please
ignore me. Like I said, I was too lazy to do research.

Lol, I will give my 2 cents to swimming also.

It would be also nice to see that when you actually swim the EP- cost it takes
is count from swimming %, instead of hiking %.
