Is it possible to bring back bstats yet with the new hardware changes? Or some
modification thereof?

bstats aren't lagging cuz of the hardware, they are lagging because of the
HUGE database that it uses. Those queries just take too long, and since mysql
connections from MUD are blocking it's a bit bad. I could, however, make you a
web version of bstats if there's enough demand.

How about running the database queries just once per day (during reboot) and
then just display the same data until next boot?

I think the rating on the post gives you an idea on the demand, please bring
us bstats back in some form if possible, web version would be just fine!
